It Works!!!

I got the touch sensor to actually function, now to build a cleaner prototype…

touch sensor attached to home made adapter

Here it is actually turning a pc on and off just like a normal switch, well almost… Because the sensor is normally on (it sends voltage to the analog input), and the capacitors take a fraction of a second to charge, the machine turns on right away, then you just turn it off like normal and it will work regularly after that. But if you lose power the circuit will automatically turn a pc back on when it regains power…

A list of components:

  • 2 diodes
  • 2 capacitors
  • 2 2N3906 transistors
  • 3 resistors (10k ohm recommended)
  • 2 phidgets touch sensors
